Our Weekend
We had such a great weekend!!! Our house was full and everyone was happy! Friday night we had "fajita night" with our friend's The Kings...I must of had too much fun because I did not take a single picture!!! Saturday we stayed busy! Sadie had a trip to the vet to visit with Dr. Colley. She has a sore on her hip which we wanted to get checked out. Dr. Colley was the vet that helped her the most after her accident. We love him! He even told our "possible future vet - Kate" to come and shadow him to see what it was like. I took Caroline and we went for a great run in the BOB stroller. I am feeling so much better now that I am starting to exercise again. It has been a humbling experience though....7 months off from running is a lot and I can tell!!! I am SLOWLY getting there. I am up to 3 miles pushing her which is not as easy as I thought it would be with the hills. That afternoon we went shopping for a bit. Christopher plays on a travel baseball team and it was time for a new pair of cleats. Kate also got her first official "running outfit". The whole shabang - top, running shorts, running socks and cool pink running shoes. Now no one will be able to catch that speedy girl. I love it!
After that, I took Kate and Emma Grace for some much needed mani/pedi's. That was part of their Valentine's present. It was great. Christopher, Caroline, and Brett went and hung out for a bit.
Caroline is still having some rough, fussy nights with her congestion and last night was no different. Brett and I were up most of the night, so when Sunday morning came around, we decided that the family needed to sleep in and just relax a bit instead of hustling around to get to church. It was very needed and served its purpose. We all hung out as a family on our screen porch. This weather is amazing!
What a cute bootie!
In the afternoon, Brett, Christopher, and Kate took Sadie and Jake to the lake for a good swim. They love it.
Here they are on the way home....
It looks like we are hauling a dead dog laying in the back of the suburban....she is wiped out (right next to our trash can for recycling...ha!)
Tomorrow Caroline is 8 weeks old!!! Here she is after I just read her the classic, Pat The Bunny, she loves it!
Grandma Gina has come again to our rescue....she is going to stay with us this week to take care of Caroline while we figure our this "childcare" situation....hmmmm...
