Weekend Plans

This past weekend was great! The weather was perfect and we got some great stuff done around the house.

On Friday night we let each of the kids have a friend over to spend the night. It was crazy, but a blast. We took them all out to eat and then to Redbox to pick out some movies. We kept laughing about the fact we had to take 2 cars to go out to eat...9 people! And--I do have the BEST husband in the world.......I got invited to go have a couple of hours with 2 great girlfriends of mine so I left my husband alone with 7 kids when we got back from dinner. Wow! When I got home the kids were all happy and the home was still standing. When we collapsed into bed late that night, we thought about that this is what it would be like if we had 7 kids. Yikes! So fun though.

Saturday morning was Christopher's opening day for his Youth Baseball League. He has been pitching some lately and was the "closer" for their game. They won easily... like 15-0 (we lost count)!

Christopher can throw the ball so hard!!! Sometimes, he does miss the strike zone a little bit....it will come in hard and fast but maybe a little off the mark. You have to be tough to play in little league...oops!!

Here is the last pitch of the game. He had some great strike outs! Brett and I just love watching him play. I love his "fist pump" as he walks off the field. So proud of himself and we are too! I asked him about that later and he said that's what the pro's do....ha!

Here is our baseball stud after the win!

After we got home on Saturday, we spent the day cleaning up the screened porch and re-potting a bunch of plants. It looks great. Pictures to come! Here we are relaxing about to enjoy a yummy dinner.

Poor Christopher woke up on Sunday morning feeling pitiful and it turns out he has strep throat. Poor thing! He spent yesterday and today on the couch trying to heal up!!
