Official 34 week picture

Image
I was 34 weeks this past Tuesday. I went to the doctor on Wednesday and everything is checking out great. I have gained 21 pounds, but it feels like a lot more!!!! Just getting out of bed is becoming harder to do. I am still working everyday and doing well. I have some good compression hose that I wear to help prevent any swelling since I pretty much stand up all day at the hospital and do a lot of walking. I am really having fun being pregnant though!!!! But---I cannot wait to meet this baby!!!

What a Weekend!

This past weekend was sooooo much fun!!! Brett and I are still recovering...:) On thursday night, my mom flew into Alabama and was picked up by Brett's mom and dad, Gina and Bob. They arrived at our house that night and the fun officially began. This past weekend 11 people stayed with us in the house and I loved every single second! Some people left on Saturday, and some stayed until Sunday. On Friday, Brett and I had a fun "gathering" at our house. We have been planning it for several months now and were so excited for the day to finally get here. It was a celebration of a lot of things....moving back to Opelika, finishing the house remodel, the holiday season to come, new baby, etc....basically just a bunch of reasons to celebrate with our best family and friends. I am not exactly sure how many people actually attended....Brett and I thought maybe 100-125....it was a blast!!! Since I am 34 weeks pregnant, we decided from the get-go this shindig needed to be ca...

Tailgating And Halloween..... This past weekend we joined our usual tailgate again as Auburn played LSU....And Won!!!....and is now #1 in the BCS polls. War Eagle! Brett is sooo excited for his Auburn Tigers. Here are a few pics from the tailgate. Our dear friends (like a second mom and dad to us), Bobby and Jan organize the tailgate most weekends and it does not disappoint!! They have been so wonderful to us since moving here. Bobby is a building contractor and has given us sooo much advice and help on our house remodel. We could not have done it without them! Here are Faith (their daughter) and Jeremy...our friends! This year, Opelika neighborhoods celebrated "trick or treating" on Thursday night. Here are the kids on their way out. This year Emma Grace decided she wanted to stay behind and hand out candy. I guess she is starting to grow out of dressing up!!! Sadie, however, has not grown out of dressing up! She was a horse this year with a cowboy on top!!! Here ...

Our little Patient...

Emma Grace had some oral surgery today done in the doctor's office. She had a baby tooth without a permanent tooth behind it. This baby tooth just wouldn't come out on its own. So, that got pulled and then a gap had to be closed with a TAD (temporary anchorage device). Basically she now has a screw on the side of her gum. Pretty strange!!! It will stay in until the gap is closed. She has been sooooo nervous for the past few weeks just thinking about it. She was so BRAVE!!! She had to get an IV and everything! First time!!! It was a big deal and she made it through without any problems. :) I had to be at work, but Brett was able to stay home this morning to go with her to the doctor's. She went back to her mom's house for some rest after everything was done. She is only eating soft foods until the soreness is gone. I made her some "soft" cupcakes and took them over to her after work today. They were pumpkin cupcakes with cream cheese icing. ...

Catch up - 30 weeks today!!

A little catch up for the Scullen clan-- First- I can't resist this cute picture. Two weeks ago Emma Grace and one of her cute friends from school went to the Opelika High School game with her parents. Christopher also went with one of his friends. Here they are dressed in their red and black. So stylin'!!! While they were at the game, Brett and I got Kate all to ourselves!!! What a treat! It was her choice for dinner--so (with a small prego craving suggestion...) she chose Five Guys Burgers. We were STARVING!!! It was sooo good. Kate and I decided we needed to document our HUGE burgers. Here is the latest official prego picture. I am 29 weeks here (now 30!!) Feeling pretty good. Reflux is a little better. I am just "trying" to take it easy. It is really hard in this family!!! I have gained about 19 pounds at my 30 week appt!! AHHHH!!! I guess the Five guys burgers are not helping to keep that under control :) Here we were on our way to church...minus ...
