This past week....

Tailgating And Halloween.....

This past weekend we joined our usual tailgate again as Auburn played LSU....And Won!!!....and is now #1 in the BCS polls. War Eagle! Brett is sooo excited for his Auburn Tigers. Here are a few pics from the tailgate. Our dear friends (like a second mom and dad to us), Bobby and Jan organize the tailgate most weekends and it does not disappoint!! They have been so wonderful to us since moving here. Bobby is a building contractor and has given us sooo much advice and help on our house remodel. We could not have done it without them!

This year, Opelika neighborhoods celebrated "trick or treating" on Thursday night. Here are the kids on their way out. This year Emma Grace decided she wanted to stay behind and hand out candy. I guess she is starting to grow out of dressing up!!!

Sadie, however, has not grown out of dressing up! She was a horse this year with a cowboy on top!!!Here is a video of her wearing the costume...she did pretty good....and greeted the kids for a couple of hours...but I think got a little fed up with it at the end of the night. Pretty funny! Sorry for my sideways camera action. I was taking the video with our regular camera and its obvious I am a complete amateur.


Christopher has a baseball tournament today, Kate has a birthday party, and Emma Grace and I might try to slip in some clothes shopping for her in the midst of all that :) Tonight our good family friends, The Walters, are coming over to watch Auburn play Ole Miss and eat some yummy chicken chili!

Meet Caroline Brooke Scullen!

Wow...so much to say...so many pictures to show.... Caroline Brooke Scullen arrived on Monday, December 27, 2010 at 5:33pm. She was just perfect. We came home from the hospital on Wednesday and needless to say....the days have been a bit of a blur ever since! :) Unfortunately, both Brett and I have been really sick with sinus/chest cold nastiness. So, in addition to being a bit sleep deprived we also are totally under the weather...a bummer! I am trying to suffer through it without taking any of the "strong stuff" for meds... Anyways....things are getting better everyday! She is just so great and I know couldn't imagine our family without her. All 3 of the kids are so great with her...I think she never leaves one of her siblings arms... She weighed 7 lb 1 oz at birth and we left the hospital at 6 lb 10 oz. We went back for a weigh in yesterday and she know weighs 6 lb 5 oz. The doctors are now concerned that she has lost a little too much. I have been struggling...

The Scullen's Summer

Well....the Scullen's have been busy. It is quite obvious since I haven't posted since...well...early May. Yikes. The summer has come and gone and school is back. We have had an exciting summer to say the least. Get ready for picture overload...I am going to try and catch us up...and these are just the highlights! Ha! Caroline and I kicked the summer off with the annual "Mother - Daughter" Trip in May.  It was fantastic.  Long gone are the days of  no babies, sleeping in, 3 cups of coffee, lots of late nights with yummy wine...No...this trip has evolved.  It is different, but just as refreshing.  I now come home from this trip utterly exhausted, but with my heart smiling, and my spirit revived!  I need my second moms and my best friends.  One year passes way too slow. This year we rented a home in Galveston, TX.  It was gorgeous.  Yup...could have moved in.  Loved it all. Daily walks by the "Grammies" and kiddos B.L.I.S.S...

One Big Update!

Since it has been so long since I posted.... I thought I would do one big update on each member of the Scullen family to see what we have been up to! Here it goes - I am so proud of Brett - he has started running as of a few months ago and he has now run in 2 races. He is an official "runner". Here he is in his first 5K with his buddy Jay. He did great. Brett and I have been running at least 3x/week. I have had a slow transition back into being a runner. It is very humbling to say the least. I am feeling stronger now and just keep telling myself this is a slow process. Caroline, myself, and the BOB jogging stroller have had a lot of time together especially hoofing it up our massive hills in the area. Ha! I figured I didn't run while pregnant and just post baby which totals up to 7 months. Yikes! I am much happier when I have the time to run....That is the hardest part. Between working, mom duties, wife duties little is left over, but I am learning when to sn...
