OK! Meet my little brother, Cameron! You guys!!--I think he is such a catch!!! He is 30 years old and lives in Austin, TX. After college, he worked in the oil and gas industry for about 5 years. But!-he has recently started his own successful company which acquires oil and gas mineral rights through Texas and Oklahoma. I am so amazed at his ambition, discipline, and smarts!! He is a Texas boy at heart. We were both raised in Corpus Christi and he has lived in San Antonio and Houston before landing in Austin. He is a Christian and has been recently attending The Austin Stone Church. He loves to travel and usually goes skiing a few times each season. He also loves the beach too! He loves to listen to music (awesome in Austin), enjoys a nice beer, and is the best uncle to 3 nieces and a nephew. Oh- and he is tall! 6'3" Email me if you are interested, and I would love to make a match! hscullen@gmail.com ...
This past weekend, Brett and I went out to Los Angeles to attend my grandfather's memorial service. He passed away in February after a battle with Leukemia. My grandfather was such a wonderful man! We decided to wait a few months for a service so that the entire family could be together. Here are some pics from the trip We arrived last Thursday...on Friday a bunch of us took a trip to the Getty Center. It is sooo beautiful. Not only is the artwork wonderful, but I think I just enjoy the building and the gardens even more!! It was a perfect California day. My grandmother (Jessie) and I overlooking the LA skyline. From this view you can actually see their house...so cool! Some of the beautiful gardens! Brett and I enjoying this weather! My brother and mom....look at that view!!!! Wow! My Mom (Val), grandmother, cousin Amber, and aunt Sue....on this great iron bridge in one...
This weekend we were with the kids in Opelika. I was on call at the VA Hospital in Birmingham on Friday night so Brett had to head down there by himself. I came down early Saturday morning. Because our house is still a DUST BOWL and more importantly we don't have the new AC unit turned on yet, we opted for a hotel this weekend....we found a pretty good deal at the Holiday Inn Express that is brand new. It was actually fairly nice....we got a room that had a king bed, pull out couch and we added a roll-away bed to the mix.....and voila! --- all 5 Scullens in one room!!! So cozy! The hotel had a salt water pool and hot tub so we hit that on Saturday. That night we met one of Brett's best friend's and his great family out for dinner... Meet the Walters....Jay, Angie and their kids Jake and Maginnis (on the left). We went out for our favorite...mexican! Afterwards they had us back to their house for fresh baked cookies and ice cream. ...
