Off to school

Here was Caroline this morning (really early...like 6am) as we were about to leave to go to her "school". Her little sleepy eyes are so sweet along with her crazy "Austin powers" dress. Yeah baby!

My brother, Cameron, 30, Austin TX

OK!  Meet my little brother, Cameron! You guys!!--I think he is such a catch!!!  He is 30 years old and lives in Austin, TX.  After college, he worked in the oil and gas industry for about 5 years.  But!-he has recently started his own successful company which acquires oil and gas mineral rights through Texas and Oklahoma.  I am so amazed at his ambition, discipline, and smarts!! Los Angeles Trip

This past weekend, Brett and I went out to Los Angeles to attend my grandfather's memorial service.  He passed away in February after a battle with Leukemia.  My grandfather was such a wonderful man!  We decided to wait a few months for a service so that the entire family could be together.  Here are some pics from the trip We arrived last Thursday...on Friday a bunch of us took a trip to the Getty Center.  It is sooo beautiful.  Not only is the artwork wonderful, but I think I just enjoy the building and the gardens even more!!  It was a perfect California day. Keepin' it real

Here is a post dedicated to keeping it real... Each month Brett and I sit down to discuss our "family budget"...You see I am the type A , OCD freak , actually like doing things like this person.  I like crunching numbers...feeling like I know where every hard earned dollar goes...basically I am the nerd of the family.  Brett is definitely the opposite (they attract I've heard...).  Don't get me wrong, he is very financially responsible, but if he were in charge, every bill would be payed the day it is due, and the budget...."well...that's just no fun to have a budget".  And to top it off...he wouldn't be the least bit stressed about it.  He is just that laid back ...yes...I need more of that.  Me...on the other hand...I panic if I don't have a bill payed 10 days before it is due....but that is just how we fit together.  it works.
