Off to school

Here was Caroline this morning (really early...like 6am) as we were about to leave to go to her "school". Her little sleepy eyes are so sweet along with her crazy "Austin powers" dress. Yeah baby!

My brother, Cameron, 30, Austin TX

OK!  Meet my little brother, Cameron! You guys!!--I think he is such a catch!!!  He is 30 years old and lives in Austin, TX.  After college, he worked in the oil and gas industry for about 5 years.  But!-he has recently started his own successful company which acquires oil and gas mineral rights through Texas and Oklahoma.  I am so amazed at his ambition, discipline, and smarts!! Los Angeles Trip

This past weekend, Brett and I went out to Los Angeles to attend my grandfather's memorial service.  He passed away in February after a battle with Leukemia.  My grandfather was such a wonderful man!  We decided to wait a few months for a service so that the entire family could be together.  Here are some pics from the trip We arrived last Thursday...on Friday a bunch of us took a trip to the Getty Center.  It is sooo beautiful.  Not only is the artwork wonderful, but I think I just enjoy the building and the gardens even more!!  It was a perfect California day. Weekend at the Grand Hotel

We decided that since this was the last weekend before school was out and in the midst of the kids "birthday celebrations", that a relaxing weekend was in order!!  We drove down to Point Clear, Alabama and stayed at the Grand Hotel...it was perfect.  With all the work on the house we have done lately, a weekend of R & R was just what we needed. We got there Friday night just in time for a perfect sunset!  We didn't even leave the resort the entire weekend.  They had several great restaurants and so much fun stuff to do.... Here we are at breakfast the next morning.  They had the BEST breakfast buffet...so many choices.. Kate and I were fans of the waffle bar....notice mine is half gone! They next day we pretty much camped out at the pool..it was huge!!! poolside baby!!!!... They had a great restaurant poolside so we could just stay in our bathing suits!  We are doing the famous "kate pose"!!  ...
