This past weekend

Even though...THIS weekend is just 2 days away....LAST weekend was a blast. Here is the full report!

On Thursday....I decided that no food would be cooked by me in the kitchen that night!  So, "Momma decided to eat out"!  The kids and I went early and then Brett drove in from Atlanta and met us at the restaurant.  Here is Caroline at our favorite mexican food restaurant enjoying a tortilla chip!  She keep waving them around shrieking....it was so funny

Friday night we went for a great family walk.  The weather here has been perfect and we couldn't stand to be inside.  Here is Christopher and the Pups!!!

Saturday:  On a complete whim....Emma Grace brought up the idea of running in the Callaway 10K race.  It is in a beautiful park in Georgia called Callaway Gardens about 45 min away.  She knew of another friend of hers, Sarah, on the cross country team that was running.  All she had to do was ask me...and I was in!!  I love being able to share my passion for running with her.  She has become a beautiful, healthy, and confident girl this past year.  This 10K is the farthest she has ever run and she was so excited to give it a go!  She was really nervous/excited as we rode up there.  The plan was for her and Sarah to run together and help pace each other.  I was on my own!...ha!

They did amazing -  NATCH!  They finished together and ran a strong race.  Never stopping.  Pretty cool!

After we celebrated, we raced home to meet up with the rest of the Scullen Crew and head over to the King's for taco soup, white chicken chili, and smores...yuuummm!  The hostess with the mostess, 'a la Faith, had the perfect "smores fixin tray" ready.  Dig in!

Sunday the kiddos went back to their Moms and we just goofed off the rest of the day...

How big does Caroline look sitting on our outside step!?!  What a cutie in her cozy fleece outfit!
We loaded up the pooches and let them have a fun romp at the dog park.  They were in heaven.

The we decided we were starving (at 2 pm...ha!) so the only thing that would fix that would be a yummy Five Guys Burger......oh.my.word.

We gave Caroline her first (of many) french fries.  Gasp....I know...not so healthy but geez....so good!  She keep yelling out (with french fry in fist) to the people walking by on the sidewalk.  I guess she was trying to tell them this was the best thing she has ever put in her mouth and that they should try it too....!

Then she would sequel....as if to say"  HA!  never mind you can't have any...they are all MINE!"  It was just cracking us up.

Nothing completes a great lazy Sunday with a few loads of laundry.....This is what I found as I was coming to get her to go to bed!

Good Night!
