Memorial Day Weekend
This Memorial Day weekend we spent at the Lake with our friends the Kings and Cannon's.
Here is Caroline cracking herself up!
Faith and Aunt Debbie in some floats. It was so warm...everyone was in the water all the time!
Here is our best friend Stan doing a dive off the dock....I have got to figure out what my problem is with the sideways videos....hmmmm...I am sure it is operator error.
Here is tired Sissy....taking a great nap on the boat. I am jealous.
Don't worry grandmothers....she can breathe...
We ended Memorial Day weekend by having our good friends, Emmie and Dave Sellers, over and we grilled some chicken and yummy veggies.
I think she is ready to crash for the night. AND...not wanting to jinx myself...Caroline has slept through the night for 4 nights in a row...Wahoo! We are on a roll. Lets cross our fingers. I decided last Friday night I was not going to feed her when she woke up around 2 or 4 am which had been her routine. I got up with her, put the paci in her mouth, and stayed there about 20 min by her crib until I was sure she was asleep...and that was IT. The next night she didn't wake up! We also had been keeping her up until 9pm, thinking that the later she went to bed, the later she would wake up. She really wants to fall asleep around 7:30pm and we fight to keep her up. Well, I read somewhere that doing that may mess up their sleep rhythm, so when she crashes we put her to bed. I also read that to help get them to learn to fall back asleep, do not get them to sleep by feeding them. (which is what had been working great for us.) Now, I give her a 6oz bottle around 7 and then play with her for about 10-15 more min until I see her yawn or look like she is tired. Then we change the diaper one last time and I lay her in her crib and just walk out. She will usually "talk" for about 15 min, but then fall right asleep. It is been working great...so far..so good.
