My Oh My...Where Have The Weeks Gone!

Tomorrow Caroline will be 4 weeks old. I am in total shock!!! These past 4 weeks have been some of the best weeks of my life, but also the most exhausting!! :) Caroline is doing great! We haven't weighed her in 2 weeks, but I am guessing she is somewhere in the 8 lb range. She is eating really well. She takes 3-4 oz of formula at every feeding. During the day I am working hard to keep her on a schedule. We are eating every 3 hours...even if I have to wake her up from a nap. (Crazy I know...) She is a happy baby as long as she is fed, burped really well, and has a clean diaper. She loves just being held by her 3 older sisters and brother. She is starting to really look around and make some cute faces. I think she recognizes my voice when I walk in the room. She is just now starting to wear 0-3 months clothes. They are still a little big on her, but the newborn/premie clothes are now getting too short. I think she is going to have long legs (yeah!) because her clothes fit everywhere else but the legs area is always kind of short for her. We go back to the doctor in 1 week and will get all her latest stats! We are so in love with Caroline!

Brett got this HUGE new pot from Williams Sonoma that he just NEEDED for new cooking adventures! It is big enough for a "Caroline swimming pool"! Ha!

My mom and Aunt Sue all left about a week ago, so the fun really began for me! Brett was back at work this past week and he even had to stay one night in Atlanta, so I was really on my own! Yikes! 48 hours--just the 2 of us. But....Caroline and I did great. I even surprised myself....don't get me wrong...I was SO ready to see Brett when he got back and I promptly placed Caroline in his arms and I took a really long shower and emerged a "renewed mamma". My sweet husband sent me flowers while he was in Atlanta as a great encouragement that "I can do this!" It worked!

Here we are on our first family walk/run. It feels so good to exercise and get outside again. The weather has been soooo cold lately.

Here is our family "Happy Everything" card...Didn't quite make Christmas or New Years...but we love it anyway! We took these when Caroline was 7 days old and it was about 30 degrees outside. It was a quick photo shoot to say the least! Our great friend Emmie Sellers took the pictures. She also did Caroline's newborn shots and pictures of all the kids...will post those later.

I promised Brett this would be the only time I would make him have his PJ's on for a family holiday card....I don't think he was super happy about wearing them but he was a great sport!

Brett got to go the BCS National Championship and spend some time in Arizona with his best buddies. He had a great time and AUBURN WON!!!!
I was so glad he got to be there for the win!
