Where Have We Been?????

WHEW!!!!! It has been way tooooo long since I have posted on the blog! We have has so much stuff going on at the Scullen House that the weeks just got away from me. The kids have started back to school and are doing great. They are involved in a bunch of after school activities that keep them busy! Both Emma Grace and Kate are taking piano lessons. Christopher is playing "fall ball" (baseball) and is doing awesome. At his game last week he pitched his first inning and got a ground rule double (He hit the ball just inside the outfield fence and then it bounced over). Kate is doing soccer again this year and she says she "loves playing defense the best". Emma Grace is trying tennis out for the first time this summer/fall and has improved so much in just 1 month. Brett has gotten back into playing tennis again too and so he is really enjoying watching her play and giving some good pointers.

Brett has started his new job in Atlanta and "so far so good!" He is working for a healthcare corporation coordinating the pulmonary and critical care divisions of their 5 hospitals. He feels challenged (in a good way) and motivated to become a great leader there. The good part is that Atlanta is closer than Birmingham (about 1hr 40 min door to door) and Atlanta is in the Eastern time zone so when he comes back home he gains an hour!
Here we are on our way to a work dinner to welcome some new doctors to his group. It was fun.

Sadie had her THIRD and FINAL operation all stemming from the "run-in" with the car back in June. Her vets, Dr. Colley and Dr. Hunt, have been so great with her and helpful to us. Brett did comment the other day though that they should name the new wing of the vet hospital in Sadie's honor because we have just about paid for it! Ha!
Brett and I went hiking in Chewacala State Park (15 min away) and took the pooch. She loved it!
I am still doing great.....About to enter week 26! Yay!! I am feeling good for the most part....my reflux is starting up though so I have to be carful what and when I eat. Sleeping on a couple of pillows is also helping. I am feeling really "pregnant" now. It seems like my belly grows everyday. I have gained almost 15 pounds!!!! I decided I needed to lay off some of my sugar cravings.....no more early Halloween candy!!! It is fun to feel the baby kick.
Here is the official 26 week picture...on our way to church this morning.
This past weekend ESPN College GameDay came to Auburn for the Auburn vs Clemson game. We drug the kids down there early Saturday morning to try and see some of the taping of the show. It was sooo crowded, but at least we can say we have BEEN THERE!! We considered yesterday a great day in the Scullen house....wins for both Texas and Auburn.
Hook 'Em and War Eagle!!!
Here we are in front of the Auburn Stadium, Kate had her friend Anna Claire spend the night so she came too. It was "wear blue to the game day" since Clemson is orange too.

I am glad to be back on the blog "bandwagon" and promise to return sooner!!
