Picture dump!

I was going through my phone camera and found some pictures from the summer that I just wanted to share...

Here are some from Mother/Daughter trip back in June. I miss all my girlfriends sooooo much. I still can't believe we all had babies within 4 months of each other.

Caroline strutting her stuff at the pool. It was so hot in Texas, we were basically in the water all day. She looks like our swimming teacher (with the hat and sunglasses) from when we all met (age 2!!!). Cracks me up!
Love the sunscreen face! I put ice cubs in the mesh holder and she loved it. Her first popsicle!

At The Scullen House We Have A Big Announcement....

Caroline has learned to crawl.....

Applause!!!!!

On Sunday night (day before school starts mind you), she got up on all fours and just started out toward the doggies....and she has got it!!!

Here is a quick video of her...she loves the dog toys much to my chagrin. Ha! And of course the dogs are all about her. They are so sweet with her and love hanging out with her in the family room. Always at the ready for some treat that she drops.



Here is Christopher's team with their runner's up trophy at the state tournament. Great Job!

And yes...my child is in a diaper in the pool....Totally gross, I know...but it was last second...didn't have a swimsuit....didn't have a swim diaper....so we just went for it. I am sure I got some looks, but it was just for a moment and it was so hot...forgive me. ha ha

    Goodness, Caroline is crawling! Keep the videos coming Heather. I'll get there as soon as I am able, maybe Thanksgiving. The photo of all four children with their heads in the center is going on my wall. Love it!

    Those are great! LOVE the last picture! I may do the same thing on my blog since I have been so bad about blogging this summer. Hope the kids had a great start to the school year. Miss you lots!

Meet Caroline Brooke Scullen!

Wow...so much to say...so many pictures to show.... Caroline Brooke Scullen arrived on Monday, December 27, 2010 at 5:33pm. She was just perfect. We came home from the hospital on Wednesday and needless to say....the days have been a bit of a blur ever since! :) Unfortunately, both Brett and I have been really sick with sinus/chest cold nastiness. So, in addition to being a bit sleep deprived we also are totally under the weather...a bummer! I am trying to suffer through it without taking any of the "strong stuff" for meds... Anyways....things are getting better everyday! She is just so great and I know couldn't imagine our family without her. All 3 of the kids are so great with her...I think she never leaves one of her siblings arms... She weighed 7 lb 1 oz at birth and we left the hospital at 6 lb 10 oz. We went back for a weigh in yesterday and she know weighs 6 lb 5 oz. The doctors are now concerned that she has lost a little too much. I have been struggling...

The Scullen's Summer

Well....the Scullen's have been busy. It is quite obvious since I haven't posted since...well...early May. Yikes. The summer has come and gone and school is back. We have had an exciting summer to say the least. Get ready for picture overload...I am going to try and catch us up...and these are just the highlights! Ha! Caroline and I kicked the summer off with the annual "Mother - Daughter" Trip in May.  It was fantastic.  Long gone are the days of  no babies, sleeping in, 3 cups of coffee, lots of late nights with yummy wine...No...this trip has evolved.  It is different, but just as refreshing.  I now come home from this trip utterly exhausted, but with my heart smiling, and my spirit revived!  I need my second moms and my best friends.  One year passes way too slow. This year we rented a home in Galveston, TX.  It was gorgeous.  Yup...could have moved in.  Loved it all. Daily walks by the "Grammies" and kiddos B.L.I.S.S...

One Big Update!

Since it has been so long since I posted.... I thought I would do one big update on each member of the Scullen family to see what we have been up to! Here it goes - I am so proud of Brett - he has started running as of a few months ago and he has now run in 2 races. He is an official "runner". Here he is in his first 5K with his buddy Jay. He did great. Brett and I have been running at least 3x/week. I have had a slow transition back into being a runner. It is very humbling to say the least. I am feeling stronger now and just keep telling myself this is a slow process. Caroline, myself, and the BOB jogging stroller have had a lot of time together especially hoofing it up our massive hills in the area. Ha! I figured I didn't run while pregnant and just post baby which totals up to 7 months. Yikes! I am much happier when I have the time to run....That is the hardest part. Between working, mom duties, wife duties little is left over, but I am learning when to sn...
