I wish we all could be California girls!
On a last second decision....I decided to fly out to L.A. to see my cousin's graduation from highschool. My mom and brother decided to go and I knew I would see some aunts and cousins...so I thought Caroline and I have to go! I hate to be left out of any fun. Ha!
We had a great time. It was quick (3 days), but perfect. My grandmother got to meet Caroline for the first time and well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Besides going to the graduation, we mostly just hung out with the family and relaxed. It was perfect.
Veronica....the graduate!
Here is my crazy cousin Nicky. He and my brother are the same age. He is always up for anything and a ton of fun!
Aunt Susan (Nicky's mom) having a moment with Caroline on the hammock. Susan came out right after Caroline was born to help us out. It was a lifesaver.
Here is Uncle Cameron pushing Caroline to our picnic spot in Santa Monica.
Caroline tried avocados for the first time and LOVED them.....she is a Cali girl at heart!
I love the view from the back of my grandmother's house. You can even see the Getty Museum (which is ah-mazing) in the distance. I just love being out in California....I don't know maybe it is the awful humid weather here in Alabama....out there the weather just seems perfect everyday. When I would go for my runs out there, I actually enjoyed it and felt great when I was done.
I left Cali (tears....) and flew back with my mom to Texas for the start of our Mother/Daughter trip that we do every year (this was our 29th year...yikes). It was so nice to fly back with some help and extra arms. Caroline and I actually did pretty good flying out there ourselves. I was very happy to see mom at LAX though.....By the end of our 4 hour plane ride the "entertainment" had run out. ha!
Here is Caroline when we were navigating the Atlanta airport. I was so glad I had a hands free carrier to put her in as we traveled to our gate. We had to get on a train so I was happy I could safely hold on.
And happy in Grammy's arms. She is really a great traveler. She has officially been on 8 planes and she is only 6 months old. wowzer.
Yup she is officially a California girl.
